6 TRENDS WE SAW IN JENNIFER GARNER'S HOUSE TOUR, INCLUDING AN ALL-WOOD KITCHEN

Jennifer Garner really does it all—not only is she an actress, activist, and businesswoman, but she also has a stunning farmhouse style home that will instantly inspire you. She recently showed off her charming home to Architectural Digest, and we couldn't help but fall in love with it and find some trends along the way while watching the interview.

A Wall of Sliding Glass Doors

At The Spruce, we are huge fans of sliding glass doors. And what's not to love? They allow instant natural light to any space in your home and create a perfect transition between your indoor and outdoor spaces.

In Garner's home, her living room features sliding glass doors that entirely open up to her gigantic patio. This creates a stunning indoor-outdoor space that is perfect for the summertime to enjoy fresh air.

An All-Wood Kitchen

When you step into Garner's kitchen, it truly looks like you've been transported into a treehouse which is exactly what Jennifer's vision was.

She told AD, “I love a wood kitchen. So, the house really is like being inside a treehouse.”

Even the clocks in the kitchen are made of wood.

An Open Floor Plan

Garner seems to love a classic open floor plan that is showcased beautifully in her living room. Her living room transitions seamlessly into another room featuring a grand piano and beautiful wine shelves. This open floor plan allows these rooms to feel airy and free, without having walls to create barriers.

Stained Glass Window

In Garner's living room, one of the most beautiful features we saw is right next to a cozy reading nook: the stained glass window.

"I wanted it to be evocative of the spring in West Virginia and you see the morning glories coming down and a little bit of the mountains in the distance," Garner said.

It's a beautiful window that creates such an inviting atmosphere, and the morning glories add a beautiful pop of blue that goes along with the rest of the blue theme in this room.

A Blue Library

Jennifer Garner's library is truly mesmerizing—this cozy room is painted a deep rich navy blue from top to bottom and features comfy chairs, couches, and of course, navy blue shelves with books and more books.

"This is everyone's favorite place," Garner told AD. "You just don't need some huge old screening room. We're pretty happy just being right in here. Feet go anywhere, I am so not fussy. There are feet, there are dogs, there are shoes. If you're going to build a house, you have to live in it."

A Neutral-Themed Bathroom

Garner's light filled bathroom is truly what dreams are made of. It features a stunning bathtub that is adjacent to barn windows that let in lots of natural light. Her bathroom is painted a clean and crisp white shade that blends well with wooden accents on the windows.

"I wanted my bathroom to be really neutral, really calming," she told AD. "We wanted a kind of white that was flattering to have light bounce off of. I also wanted the house to look like an old farmhouse next to an old barn, and this is obviously the barn part because you can see the barn window."
